Welcome… statistics show the chat room is most likely to be active from about 9pm-1am Eastern US time.  That does not mean people don’t come by at other times and check the room to see if anyone is around. 

 

We have a community of regulars, and we are always looking to have new people come and share, or join us.  It is a very mixed bag of folks, with conservatives, scholars, flaming liberals, seminary students, various pastors, philosophers and a pagan or two.  Generally we get along well.  The model for the room is a home where people can come over and sit on the couch by the fireplace and chat about what is on your mind.  Prism and I are the hosts, and we have yet to have to toss anyone out of the house.

 

One purpose of this forum is to help us learn how to share WHY we believe what we believe with others who are different. If you want to hone your apologetics, this is a good place.  Another purpose of the room is to help people whose religion has fallen short, and they seek to find a faith that “works better.”  Kind warnings to those who are seeking though… look before you leap.
